World War 1 WW1 dog tags with custom stamping

for sale is one reproduction set of 2 aluminum U.S. dog tags made to
exact dimensions and stamped with your name, rank, serial number or
whatever you want on them using the original WW1 dog tag marking set (set is pictured but not included ) These are the 35mm size tags, M1910 and M1918A tags
We have made these ourselves
by duplicating the size, thickness and holes spacing from original sets
of World War One dog tags. Will include 36″ of cotton webbing that is
very close to what was issued. great for reenactments, hobbyists,
collectors. Unless specified in your order you will receive one single
hole and one double hole tag. If you request we can make both single
hole or both double hole tags.
look at the pictures. example is
shown with how the tags would have been stamped at or near end of war.
this style dog tag was ordered by General Order #204 on 12/20/1906:
“An aluminum identification tag, the size of a silver half dollar and of suitable thickness,
stamped with the name, rank, company, regiment, or corps of the wearer, will be worn by each officer and enlisted man
of the Army whenever the field kit is worn, the tag to be suspended from the neck, underneath the clothing, by a cord or
thong passed through a small hole in the tab. It is prescribed as a part of the uniform and when not worn as directed herein
will be habitually kept in the possession of the owner.
The tag will be issued by the Quartermaster’s Department gratuitously to enlisted men and at cost price to officers.”
This order was updated in July 1916 to issue 2 dog tags, one for the body if killed in action and one for record keeping.
then in 1918 it was updated again to include the serviceman’s 7 digit serial number.
these
were all hand made with a manual stamp set as seen in our pictures and
how we make the reproductions. we try our best to keep straight and
spaced but as originally done its no too precise so this is how your
tags will also look.
when checking out we need you to send what you want stamped on the tags in the following format:
First and last name.
Rank.
company/unit etc.
USA (or you can put branch of service here)
serial number.
The
tags will be made as seen in the pictures unless you want differently
which we will be glad to do. we just need you to let us know how and
what you want on them and as long as it fits we can do it! including
making both tags the same or different. If you dont indicate in message whcih tags you will receive one two hole and one single hole tag as in the pictures.
