This book is primarily a showcase of beautiful photography of the low country and Beaufort, South Carolina. Yes, there is actually a “monkey island”, where the US Government forbids trespassing and has conducted secret experiments on the monkeys for years! My photography book will give you wonderful shots of the local area that the Gullah people and slaves worked as southern plantations. It will show you an area that has been used to film such movies as “The Big Chill”, “The Great Santini”, “Forrest Gump”, “G.I. Jane”, “The Patriot”, “The Prince of Tides”, “Glory”, “The Notebook” and so many other hits I can not name them all.
